Dental practice in Warrington village sold after 'significant interest' - Warrington Guardian

Bhawani’s Dental Care in Culcheth has changed hands after strong buyer interest, proving our village remains oddly irresistible, even to people inspecting molars.

Bhawani’s Dental Care in Culcheth has been sold after attracting what agents called significant buyer interest, which is estate-agent speak for: plenty of people fancied a bite of this particular business.

The specialist private dental practice, established in 2016, has been bought by Asad Jabbar, a first-time buyer and qualified hygienist. He had reportedly been looking for a private clinic for some time with his wife, who is a GP, so this sounds less like a whim and more like a carefully plotted professional move. Sensible, frankly, which is more than can be said for half the parking decisions on Common Lane.

The sale was handled confidentially by Christie and Co, and the price has not been disclosed. Naturally. We are allowed to know there was strong interest, multiple competitive offers, and advanced dental technology, but not the number everyone actually wants to mutter about over a brew.

The practice has two surgeries and was sold by Dr Santanu Chatterjee, who plans to stay on in a clinical role while stepping back from management. That is probably good news for existing patients, because continuity matters, especially when someone is approaching your face with tiny mirrors and professional confidence.

Cathy Murphy, senior business agent at Christie and Co, described the practice as a unique opportunity in a highly desirable area, presented to an outstanding specification. On that point, fair enough. Culcheth is highly desirable, and not just because we have mastered the art of looking villagey while being close enough to Warrington to complain about Warrington properly.

There is a positive local angle here: a healthcare business staying active, a new owner with relevant experience, and a site with room to grow. In a village where every commercial change can trigger Olympic-level speculation, this one feels relatively steady.

That said, private dentistry is still private dentistry, and plenty of people will rightly wince at the cost before anyone even mentions root canals. A thriving practice is welcome, but access and affordability remain the sore tooth in the national conversation.

The original report came via Warrington Guardian, with Nathan Okell named as Chief Reporter, and included a rather curious note about an exclusive subscriber partnership with USA Today and sister title The Herald. Because apparently even a Culcheth dental sale now arrives with a transatlantic passport stamp. The image was credited to Google Maps, which is about as glamorous as local business photography gets.
