Culcheth (Warrington) weather - Met Office

Culcheth gets a mostly decent week, with sunny intervals, high pollen and one very soggy Tuesday threatening to ruin the village’s smug summer mood.

The latest forecast for Culcheth, Warrington, updated at 8am on Sunday 28 June 2026, is giving us that classic British summer performance: sunny intervals, a stiff breeze, high pollen and just enough rain to keep everyone suspicious.

Today starts pleasantly enough, with around 19°C this morning, sunny intervals, and a rain chance below 5% after 11am. The daytime high is expected to reach 21°C, though it will feel more like 17°C at best because the wind has decided to have an opinion too. Gusts could reach 29mph from the west, which is breezy enough to rearrange a patio cushion but not quite dramatic enough for anyone to dine out on it.

The good news is visibility is very good, air pollution is low according to Defra and GOV.UK, and the sun is putting in a respectable shift, rising at 04:44 and setting at 21:42, with sun and moon data referenced via the U.S. Naval Observatory. The less charming news is the UV level is high and the pollen level is high, with high grass pollen and moderate weed pollen. So yes, the weather looks pretty, but your sinuses may feel personally attacked.

The week ahead in Culcheth

  • Sunday: Sunny intervals, 21°C high, 13°C low. Gusts up to 29mph. High pollen, high UV, low air pollution.
  • Monday: Sunny intervals again, topping out at 22°C with a 14°C low. Rain risk stays low most of the day, rising to 20% by 11pm. Gusts up to 19mph. High pollen continues, because apparently we needed character-building.
  • Tuesday: This is the awkward one. Forecast says light rain, 21°C high and 14°C low, with rain risk listed at 40% around 11am, but the hourly forecast gets much wetter later, peaking at 90% around 4pm and 5pm. In short, Tuesday is the day most likely to turn smug sunshine plans into damp socks.
  • Wednesday: Cloudy, with a 21°C high and 15°C low. Rain risk around 30% at midnight and again later in the evening. Gusts up to 23mph. Moderate pollen, which almost sounds merciful until you remember it still means sneezing.
  • Thursday: Sunny intervals return, but with a 50% rain chance around 6am and the week’s strongest gusts, up to 33mph. High of 20°C, low of 14°C, but it may feel as low as 13°C at points. Thursday is clearly trying to be outdoorsy while wearing a scowl.
  • Friday: Sunny intervals, 20°C high and 15°C low, with only a 10% rain chance around 10pm. Gusts up to 25mph. No air pollution data is listed for Friday, which is not the same as saying the air has taken the day off.
  • Saturday: Cloudy, 21°C high and 15°C low, with a 30% rain chance around 7am and gusts up to 27mph. Not terrible, not glorious, just very North West England of it.

The North West England forecast says Sunday will be cloudy at first with a few showery outbreaks of rain, turning drier and brighter through the day, feeling fresher than recent days. Tonight should be dry with clear spells before cloud builds from the west towards dawn, and Monday looks rather cloudy with brighter spells, especially across Cheshire and Lancashire.

Looking further ahead, the forecast for Thursday 2 July to Saturday 11 July suggests a drier start to July for many, cloudier towards the west, with sunshine more common elsewhere. Some northwestern areas may still catch rain and stronger winds at times. Temperatures are expected to begin near average in the north and slightly above average in the south, before rising more widely as high pressure becomes more dominant across England and Wales.

For Sunday 12 July to Sunday 26 July, high pressure is considered slightly more likely than low pressure early on, meaning a better chance of settled, drier-than-average weather. That said, this is still the UK, so heavy or thundery showers can still barge in uninvited, like someone who says they are only popping round for five minutes and then stays until tea.

Overall, Culcheth has a decent enough week on the cards: mild temperatures around 20°C to 22°C, plenty of sunny intervals, low pollution for the first part of the forecast, and visibility mostly good to very good. The grumbles are obvious though: high UV, high pollen early on, a proper wet spell likely on Tuesday, and Thursday breezes that may make bins, bunting and fringe choices look less secure than planned.
