Culcheth Medical Centre Inspection

It is nice to see that Culcheth Medical Centre is providing a good service to our local residents. They were recently inspected by The Care Quality Commission (CQC) and were graded GOOD in their report that was published 30 June 2026. The CQC inspectors observe processes, consider outcomes and take feedback from patients, organisations and staff. They give grades on each of five key questions: is the service safe, effective, caring, responsive to people's needs and well-led. In each one Culcheth was graded GOOD. The report said:

• The service had a shared vision, strategy and culture. Staff and leaders understood the challenges and the needs of people and their communities.
• Staff understood their individual roles and responsibilities and treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion.
• People could access treatment and support when they needed it and were positive about the quality of their care and treatment
• The service performed better than the national average in the results of the 2025 National GP Patient Survey
• The provider carried out regular audits and quality improvement work through which information about people’s care and treatment was used to make improvements if required.
